How To Attach A Front Lace Wig Correctly
There are different ways that a woman can attach an African American front lace wig to her head. First of all, if she has long hair, it should be braided. Shorter hair can simply be placed beneath a wig cap – a wig cap can be a basic knee high with the elastic cut off (in a color similar to your skin tone).
To fully attach the African American front lace wig to her head, a woman can apply a wig-specific liquid adhesive just around the perimeter of her hairline – it should not touch her hair. Some use adhesive tapes (again, specifically designed for use with wigs).
These work especially well for women who are bald (because of chemotherapy, etc.) Instead of adhesive, some women may simply clip the wig to their naturally growing hair.
