There are different ways that a woman can attach an African American front lace wig to her head. First of all, if she has long hair, it should be braided. Shorter hair can simply be placed beneath a wig cap – a wig cap can be a basic knee high with the elastic cut off (in a color similar to your skin tone).
To fully attach the African American front lace wig to her head, a woman can apply a wig-specific liquid adhesive just around the perimeter of her hairline – it should not touch her hair. Some use adhesive tapes (again, specifically designed for use with wigs).
These work especially well for women who are bald (because of chemotherapy, etc.) Instead of adhesive, some women may simply clip the wig to their naturally growing hair.

Well, a lace wig is a wig made from human hair and tied to a lace base. The two types of lace used in lace front wigs are French lace and Swiss lace. A lace front wig has lace at the hairline that is secured with liquid adhesive or tape. When the lace is adhered to your own hairline, it gives an invisible hairline, making it look as though the hair is growing out of your scalp. A full lace wig is lace around the entire wig perimeter.
